Greetings and Welcome to Matts website page.
I have been working as a Self-employed Plasterer for 30yrs
and have been busy working from Nelson to Central Otago. Being trained
in Brisbane Australia from 1990 to 1993, I then returned to the
better climate and became self-employed within 6months.
Back then, the Plastering done in NZ was not to a very high standard
and the Quality of my work was much sought after. I remember having
waiting lists of six months or more. Aquiring a few regular builders to work
for also kept me busy. They now have retired and I'm not as young.
The Plastering standard in NZ has improved hugely also.
As a 50 something I still have great quality services to offer.

In 2009 due to the world economic situation, my Plastering income began
shrinking considerably. My father who lived in Ranfurly was about to be
diagnosed with terminal cancer. I enrolled at Cromwell campus and lived
in Bannockburn for the year studying. Weekends were spent at Ranfurly.
The relics of the old gold diggers left a lasting impression on me.
When I work with Schist stone their work inspires me greatly.
Now living back in Canterbury most of my work is plastering still.
Yet now and then I take on a Stone Job if I consider it within my expertise.
